This is the most widely used and most reliable method. The full marksheet with all subject grades and GPA appears on screen.

Open any browser on your phone or computer. Chrome, Firefox, Safari all work. Type neb.ntc.net.np in the address bar and press enter. Do not search for it on Google on result day because fake sites appear in search results. Type the URL directly.
When the page loads, you will see two input fields. The first asks for your symbol number. Type your 8-digit symbol number exactly as printed on your admit card. The second field asks for your date of birth. Enter it in YYYY/MM/DD format. For example 2055/06/03 for someone born on 3rd Ashadh 2055.
After entering both details, click the submit button. Your full marksheet will appear on the screen. It shows your full name, your school name, the exam year, every subject you appeared in, the letter grade for each subject, the grade point for each subject, and your overall GPA at the bottom.
As soon as the marksheet appears, do not close the tab. Immediately look for a print or download button. Click it and save the file as PDF to your phone or computer. Email it to yourself as a backup right away. Print at least two physical copies as soon as you can. Most colleges and entrance exam registration offices require the original printed marksheet. Method 2. How to Check Class 12 Result at neb.gov.np
This is the second official website and works the same way as neb.ntc.net.np.
Steps:
- Go to neb.gov.np/results
- Find the Class 12 result link on the homepage
- Enter symbol number and date of birth
- Click submit
- View and download marksheet
Open your browser and go to neb.gov.np/results. On the homepage, look for a notification or link that says Class 12 Result 2083 or Grade 12 Result. On result day this link will be prominently displayed on the homepage. Click it.
A new page opens with the same input fields. Enter your symbol number and date of birth in YYYY/MM/DD format. Click submit. Your marksheet will appear.
The content of the result is exactly the same on both neb.ntc.net.np and neb.gov.np. They pull from the same NEB database. If one website is slow, try the other. neb.ntc.net.np is generally faster because it is run by Nepal Telecom which has stronger server infrastructure. neb.gov.np is the official NEB government site and is the authoritative source.
Never enter your details on any other website. Dozens of fake result pages appear on result day asking for your symbol number and date of birth. Only these two official websites are safe. If the URL does not exactly match neb.ntc.net.np or neb.gov.np, close the tab immediately.
Method 3. How to Check Class 12 Result by SMS
SMS is the fastest method on result day when websites are overloaded. You get your grades and GPA as a text message within a few moments.
Steps:
- Open messaging app
- Type NEB space your symbol number
- Send to 1600 on NTC
- Wait for reply with your result
Open the messaging app on your phone. In the message body, type NEB followed by a single space and then your symbol number. For example if your symbol number is 17300927, your message should look like this exactly: NEB 17300927. Nothing else. No punctuation. No extra spaces.
Send this message to 1600. This is a Nepal Telecom service number. NTC SMS to 1600 is completely free. No charge.
Within a few seconds to a few minutes, you will receive a reply message containing your class 12 result. The reply shows your grades in each subject and your overall GPA.
If you are on Ncell, use the same message format but send to 35001. Ncell may charge a small fee for this service.
Important limitation of SMS. The SMS reply gives you your grades and GPA but it does not give you the full formatted marksheet. You need the official website to download the complete marksheet PDF with your name, school, and all details printed properly. Use SMS to quickly check your result and confirm your grades. Then go to the website later when traffic drops to download the official marksheet.
If your SMS does not arrive within 10 minutes, check that you typed the message correctly. One extra space or a wrong digit gives no reply or a wrong result. Try sending again. If it still does not work, the SMS service may be temporarily overwhelmed. Wait 15 minutes and try again.
Method 4. How to Check Class 12 Result by IVR Phone Call
IVR stands for Interactive Voice Response. This method lets you hear your result over a phone call without needing internet or mobile data at all.
Steps:
- Dial 1601 from any phone
- Listen to the voice instructions
- Press the correct number when asked
- Enter your symbol number using keypad
- Listen as your result is read out loud
Pick up your mobile phone or landline. Dial 1601. This is a Nepal Telecom service. The call connects automatically and you hear a recorded voice giving you menu options in Nepali.

What Your Class 12 Marksheet Shows
When your result appears, you will see several pieces of information. Understanding each one helps you read your result correctly without confusion.
Your full name as registered with NEB appears at the top. Your symbol number is printed below your name. Your school name and district are shown. The academic year of the examination appears clearly.
For every subject you appeared in, the marksheet shows the subject name, the letter grade you received, and the grade point corresponding to that grade. At the very bottom of the marksheet, your overall GPA is shown as a number between 0.0 and 4.0.
A plus grade means marks between 90 and 100 with grade point 4.0. A grade means marks between 80 and 89 with grade point 3.6. B plus means marks between 70 and 79 with grade point 3.2. B grade means marks between 60 and 69 with grade point 2.8. C plus means marks between 50 and 59 with grade point 2.4. C grade means marks between 40 and 49 with grade point 2.0. D grade means marks between 35 and 39 with grade point 1.6. NG means below 35 marks and means Not Graded.
To pass class 12, you need at least D grade in every subject. If you have NG in any subject, that subject is not cleared.

How to Download Class 12 Marksheet as PDF
Downloading your marksheet properly is important. A screenshot is not enough for most official purposes.

- In print dialog, select Save as PDF
- Save to your phone or computer
- Email to yourself as backup
After your marksheet appears on neb.ntc.net.np, look for a button that says Print, Download, or Save at the bottom of the marksheet page. Click it.

Students who appeared for the class 12 grade increment exam, also called the supplementary or chance exam, can check their re-exam result using exactly the same methods as the main result.

- The portal shows your most recent result automatically
- For SMS send NEB space symbol number to 1600
- For IVR dial 1601
NEB does not have a separate portal for supplementary results. The same neb.ntc.net.np website shows your most recent result automatically. After the grade increment exam result is processed and uploaded, your updated result replaces or adds to your main result display.
Enter your symbol number and date of birth exactly as before. If your grade increment result is published, it will appear. Your updated marksheet will show the new grade in the subject where you previously had NG.
SMS and IVR also show the updated supplementary result automatically. Use the same format and numbers as you used for the main result.
The class 12 grade increment exam for 2082 was held in Ashoj 2082 which is around September to October 2025 and results came in Kartik-Mangsir 2082 which is November 2025. For the 2083 exam, the supplementary is expected around September to October 2026 based on past patterns. Results would follow a few weeks after the exam.
After your supplementary result comes out and your NG is cleared, download your updated marksheet from neb.ntc.net.np. The updated marksheet is the official document accepted by all colleges for late admission enrollment.

The moment your result appears, take these steps in order.
Screenshot or download your marksheet immediately. Do not close the tab or navigate away before saving. Once the tab closes, you need to re-enter your details and the website may be slow again.
Email the marksheet to yourself. This creates a permanent backup you can access from any device at any time.
